Poly magazine is a queer lifestyle, culture and underground music magazine prototype. With a utilitarian design language and bold colors we sought to speak to a more refined and cultured, but younger demographic.
Due to the subject matter of the first feature article we thought it would be fitting combine two different graphic styles from 2 separate time periods. The primary imagery is heavily inspired by early 2000's Windows Media Player and Winamp skins. The secondary imagery however is inspired by Apple's UI design prior to OS X Yosemite.
The second feature article makes heavy use collage and typography. The title page uses bold type and contains the districts of Berlin, in which most of the attractions mentioned in the article are located. The photos themselves use pure magenta and black values so that they stand out in print.
